Data Safety Summary

Core principle

ScoffScan is designed to work without requiring an account. Core features store data locally on your device.

Data collected

• App preferences (on-device): settings such as units and display options.
• Scan history (on-device by default): barcodes you scanned, optional favourites.
• Optional diagnostics (opt-in): crash/bug reports to improve stability.

Data shared

By default, no personal data is shared with third parties. If you enable diagnostics or use upload/submission features, information will be sent only for that purpose.

Security

• Local data is stored in app-private storage on Android.
• Any future uploads will use encrypted transport (HTTPS).

User controls

• Clear scan history in-app (where provided) or via Android app settings.
• Uninstalling the app removes on-device data.
• Contact support for questions or requests relating to uploads.
